20L FlexiPot
The AutoPot FlexiPot 20 L fits an AutoPot XL tray and allows you to combine our power-free, water efficient, low maintenance, modular systems with high performance fabric pots. FlexiPots stimulate plant growth by aerating, feeding and guiding the root structure rather than merely containing it. The porous FlexiPot material, which is lead- and BPA-free, promotes better gas exchange in the substrate. When the root zone is able to breathe, oxygen levels there can be greatly increased, which will accelerate growth. Root tips are "air-pruned" when they touch a FlexiPot's porous side because the outside air prevents them from growing any further. Once secondary roots have formed, a fibrous root structure has been formed, greatly improving moisture and nutrient intake. Also, by eliminating root looping, it is feasible to grow larger plants from smaller ones.
Accessory Pack for FlexiPot (incl. 1x FlexiPot) - with AQUAvalve5
Use Module Accessory Packs to upgrade your system to AQUAvalve5 with 9mm and 16-9mm pipe and fittings. An AQUAvalve5 Module Accessory Pack will fit into in your existing module trays perfectly. It includes all the fittings you need to connect to 16mm pipe – even 16-9mm cross and tee connectors. If connecting directly to the reservoir using 9mm pipe you may also require the new 9mm Top Hat Grommet and 9mm Golf Filter or, if your reservoir has a 16mm outlet, the new 16-9mm click-fit adapter and filter. Alternatively you can maintain older systems in tip-top condition with 6m and 16-6mm pipe and fittings using a 6mm AQUAvalve Module Accessory Pack. This Pack also includes a 20 L fabric FlexiPot – allowing you to replace the plastic pot in your XL tray or completely refurbish an existing FlexiPot module.
FlexiPot Module
The AutoPot FlexiPot System combines our power-free, water efficient, low maintenance, modular systems with high performance fabric pots. FlexiPots are an excellent alternative to plastic pots in that they stimulate plant growth by training the root structure rather than merely containing it. When root tips reach the porous side of a FlexiPot they are ‘air-pruned’ – deterred from extending any further by the air outside. Secondary roots then develop, creating a fibrous root structure with vastly improved moisture and nutrient uptake. Root circling is also thus eliminated making it possible to produce bigger plants from smaller pots. The porous BPA-free, lead-free FlexiPot material also allows improved gas exchange in the substrate. Free to breathe the root zone can see dramatically enhanced oxygen levels – supercharging growth. A FlexiPot XL System contains all you need to set up an automated watering system with fabric pots. The compact size and portability that FlexiPot brings to XL means jaw-dropping reductions in shipping costs and much easier storage for stores and growers alike. As with all of our systems the FlexiPot System is easily extended so many pots can be linked to a single reservoir. The pots and trays can be easily moved at will, if the plants grow too large they can be spaced further apart with ease. Once set up with a water and nutrient filled reservoir this extremely versatile, gravity-fed system will run automatically. It will completely take care of all your plants needs without the need for pumps, timers or intensive maintenance. When growing in AutoPot Watering Systems it is essential that a PotSock Round (PotSock included) be fitted to the base of each FlexiPot to provide root control. Please note: Room humidity may be increased when growing with multiple FlexiPots indoors due to the exposed, porous surface of the fabric pots.
